Calling All Prayer Partners!
Friends,
Of all of our partners in church planting, no partner is more important than a prayer partner. Planting a church is a big deal. Satan does not want us to succeed. Surrounding ourselves and our team with prayer partners is the single best thing we can do to ensure fruitfulness and faithfulness.
As a result of this value for prayer and the spiritual realities we are facing, we’re recruiting prayer partners who will cover us and the Uptown Church Plant in their prayers on a consistent basis.
Would you consider joining us as a prayer partner?
Here are some expectations:
• Pray for us at least three times a week, hopefully daily
• Receive and pray through weekly prayer request emails we will send out (separate from regular update emails)
• Join us for regular days of prayer and fasting
• Join us for special prayer walk events in Uptown as available (once or twice a year)
• Join us for prayer marathon events as available (once or twice a year)
On a general level, you can always be praying for the following on our behalf—whether or not you decide to commit to us as a prayer team member:
• Us - We need God's wisdom, patience and strength
• Our families (Kisers and Porches) - specifically balance and health in our marriages and families
• Protection - Satan will attack us, our families, and anyone who wants to join us
• Vision - that God would guide our planning and give us a clear vision for the new church
• Launch Team - that God would provide the right people to form the heart of the new church
• Lost People – that God would be working in the hearts of the lost in Uptown
• Finances - only God can provide; we lack about $55,000 for the working fund
