Kami's Engaged!

Exciting news! Kami and Brandon got engaged on Friday last week! Yippee! We're all so excited for them, and we love Brandon so much! I'm pretty excited about having a brother! But I'm mostly excited for my sister. She deserves all of the wonderful-ness of Brandon, and she deserves all the wonderful-ness of this exciting and fun time!

It's amazing to recognize that as we have prayed for Kami's mate for twenty-one years, that we now get to witness the answer to those prayers. The Lord answers our prayers in very special ways. And we are grateful!

ACU Lectureship

Greetings from Abilene! It's been a great week so far--wonderful family, friends and mentors. What a rich experience!

This evening, I'll be leading worship. I look forward to worshiping with those of you from Abilene. And I would like to ask those of you who are not here to pray for our time of worship tonight.

Thanks!

Warning: band nerd

Fall means one thing to me: marching season. And I've really been getting the itch. I miss drumming so much. Sooo much. I think I'm going to go home today and bust out my practice pad (which the neighbors will appreciate). On several occassions, I have considered contacting local high school band programs to see if they would like an extra tech for the marching season. For those of you who don't know, I spent most of my college career equipping myself to be a high school band director. The change of course is certainly a glory story for another post.

But, performing is still a big part of who I am. Music is still one of my biggest passions. Hopefully opportunities will open one day for me to teach in some part-time capacity. I encourage all of you to go to high school and college football games. And don't get a snack during halftime.

Anyone else miss marching band?

Cool Picture

This is a picture from our Christian Student Center. The people in this picture are actually the apprentices and student leaders, along with the director, Tim Stafford, in the center. I just thought it was really cool. I wish I could do something like this with the praise team.
